How do I scan for viruses with AVG?

Every computer donated to you from the SDFF and The San Diego Broadband Initiative comes with an anti-virus called AVG. But just because there's an anti-virus doesn't mean that it's working properly or that it works on it's own. You the owner of the computer needs to become pro-active in maintaining your computer. This means you have to update your anti-virus, scan downloads before opening them, and scanning your computer atleast 2 times a month depending on how often you use it.
